The Neighborhood Rebuild is a community development organization that aims to revitalize and improve neighborhoods in need. With a vision of building a better community, they partner with local developers to undertake projects that transform neglected properties into thriving spaces for residents. Being trained and equipped with skills and knowledge on the demolition and deconstruction to which our apprentices took part, their first project, located at South Champlain owned by one of the Local Community Developers, Mr. Maurice Newman, is a testament to their commitment to community empowerment and first official collaboration.

With our team being involved in this project, we took part in the first phase which is the demolition and deconstruction.

Our apprentices, together with our lead carpenter, Mr. Devante Bearden and Program Director, Ms. Telly Safford, officially took part in the demolition and cleanout of the property at South Champlain. Under the guidance of the JLJ Management’s experienced professionals, they learned essential skills such as proper demolition techniques, waste management, and site cleanup. This hands-on experience not only helps them develop practical skills but also instills a sense of pride and ownership in the project.
